Halloween, while known as the night of October 31st where kids dress up and go trick or treating hasn’t always been that way. The exciting holiday began back in England where a festival known as “The Ancient Celtic festival of Samhain” would have the people dress up in costumes to ward off ghosts and spirits. Halloween was brought to America through the American colonists who came from England. Many of the colonists celebrated due to them being puritans and wanting to ward off the ghosts.
